A Unique Opportunity to Define Decatur's Future
Decatur is growing - and changing - fast. If we act now, we have a wonderful opportunity to help define what Decatur will be in the years to come - greener, pedestrian friendly, diverse, with great schools and an even better place to live. To safeguard this future, we must pause and plan. Pause major development, and plan what our city will become.
Nearly forty years ago, Decatur leaders set out a bold vision for creating a vibrant downtown while preserving the character of our neighborhoods. Today is the time to strengthen that vision and double down on protecting and promoting the character of our community and schools. I ask for your support to help lead this effort. Erin and I differ on our priorities. We differ on our experience, and we differ on our approach. Decaturish has provided the opportunity to present ourselves and our vision to the voters so that you can decide who would best represent you on the Commission. 
A Passion for Improving All CommunitiesI entered Decatur's civic life after dozens of walks from the Artisan Condominiums to Kroger. Traversing parking lots, degraded sidewalks and challenging intersections, I saw potential for a healthier, greener and stronger community for all of Decatur. Ever since, I've been working to make that potential a reality.

Experience, Perspective & CommitmentI have spent more than 25 years working in diverse neighborhoods to promote smart planning, transportation and strong communities. I worked for Congressman John Lewis for 10 years, have led three different nonprofits, and ran the Atlanta Parks Department ($30 million budget, 300+ employees). As president of the Downtown Decatur Neighbors, I helped lead the push for better planning, pedestrian safety and more parks. We made a difference, but there is still work to do.
